Percolator Arts Caravan this Saturday

The Lawrence Percolator is proud to host our Percolator Arts Caravan at the Lawrence Community Shelter this upcoming Saturday!

This one day event will take place from 10a.m. to 3p.m. Saturday, September 21st at the Lawrence Community Shelter, 3701 Franklin Park Circle.

The Percolator Arts Caravan takes the spirit of the Percolator on the road to inspire community celebration and artistic merriment. Art activities and workshops, live music, food, and foolishness for all ages will be offered at no charge.

This event is open to the public as a way to show off the Shelter's new space and support their mission "to provide safe shelter and comprehensive services and programs that provide a path to a positive future for people experiencing homelessness and are at risk for homelessness."

Here's the line-up:
11:00 Paper Flower Making with Irene Tsuneta
12:00 Magic with Sora Korso
1:00 Bucket drumming workshop
2:00 Juggling workshop
In addition, KT Walsh is currently working on two community murals with the residents.  The Percolator is also accepting art from the Lawrence community to be donated to the Shelter for permanent display in their space.  If you have any pieces you'd like to donate, please email us for more information.

A huge thank you to the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission for the grant that made this project possible.
